Historical pictures below were obtained from a Polish website, now defunct, that detailed the historical archictecture and construction of the building. They are used with permission of the original site creator. Unfortunately, the site went down before it was possible to copy and translate the descriptions.

German Lutheran Cemetery in Lodz
This cemetery contains numerous huge monuments to the German industrialists who, among others, were prominent in developing the cloth making industry in Lodz. Yet scattered among them one finds many other headstones representing family names that are being researched by members of SGGEE. While many German cemeteries in Poland have been abandoned to overgrowth and ruin, this one is somewhat well maintained with, of course some exceptions.

Many names on the well-kept markers are recognizable. Included here are Lange, Ende, Pokrant, Seidel, Hartwig, and Schultz.
