The best source for parents' names, and perhaps the only one in this case, 
would be the marriage record of August Knull and Susanne Fritz.  You would 
need the marriage place which probably you don't have.

This couple arrived in Elisabethpol, Kreis Wladimir, Volhynia in 1885 and 4 
children were born there in subsequent years.  There is no marriage record 
so they must have married before coming to Volhynia.  A clue is in the death 
record of their son Eduard.  His death is in the Rozyszcze parish (Volhynia) 
register book.  He died on 3 Mar 1885 in Rehfeld, G. Petrikau.  Thus, he 
died just before the family reached Volhynia, at their previous home or 
maybe enroute.  Note that the extractor erred in reading his age, it is 1 
year, 8 months not 17 years, 8 months.  I didn't find Rehfeld but perhaps 
someone on the list knows its location.  The PRI database has the birth of 
Eduard Knull in 1883 in Piotrow Tryb. (Petrikau) - it is Registration #119 
on microfilm 1733568, extractor E. Kwiesdorf.  The full record (in Russan)

Indeed the parents are August Knull and Susanne Fritz and the birth place is 
Rehfeld.  The marriage may be a few years earlier in the Petrikau records 
held by the present parish - see

Possibly August Knull is related to the several Knull families that lived in 
Kries Wladimir in Antonowka and other nearby villages.  These Knull people 
came from Giesek / Gessek / Jessek in Gubernia Petrikau located about 15 km 
southwest of the town of Petrikau.  About 1900 they went to Canada, settling 
near Leduc, Alberta.
