Rose,
Could you tell us a little more about these KGB files (or are you
saving this up for later)? Are you just talking about a few individuals'
files, or do you have access to lots of files? If the later, what
sort of dates and places?
One of my grandfather's brothers, Heinrich Gruenke, was executed
in 1938. He was from Volhynia, but had moved to the Odessa region.
He's included in a list of victims published in the Moscow newspaper
"Neues Leben", posted on the Odessa Digital Library site
<http://www.odessa3.org>, but that just gives the date of execution.
I assume there is probably a lot more information on his case, and why
he was arrested, somewhere in the KGB's files.
