[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] FW: surname

I'm looking for anybody with the surname Laudin-

Our Laudins emigrated in the 1700's to Bessarabia Russia,

in hopes of a better life.  I've been told that they put a (sky) on the end
of their 

name when they came from Germany, or added it sometime after that.

 They were Lutheran. I'm trying to find their place of origin in Germany.

It doesn't seem to be a very common name.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions.
