  Michael,

  The LDS Polish Word List shows the translation of Dziakek as grandfather, 
  old man, beggar.  So take your pick.

  Brother = brat in Polish.

  Is >>grandfather<< the only possible translation for DZIADEK,
  or could - in my case - the grandfather´s brother also be meant?
