[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Place Names - Lodz Area.

    In the parish records of Trinity Lutheran church of Lodz, ca 1830s, the name of Lodz is entered as the place of birth, death etc., but just as often the name "Lutka" appears as the place for the event.  
    I have not been able locate Lutka on maps or location aids for the area surounding Lodz.
Question:  Is Lutka  a separate place or is it another way of indicating Lodz?
