Birgit,
A KONIAR may be a hired hand or labourer, probably working with animals.
It's a Slovak word apparently. Would it be the female version?

Subject: [Ger-Poland-Volhynia] KONIARYN
Dear list members,
in an old Polish birth certificate from 1820 I found KONIARYN as job title.
What does it mean? Any help is very appreciated.
Regards from Germany. Birgit
