To the list,
The World Digital Library has digitised the National Library of Russia's
copy of the English edition of *The Guide to the Great Siberian Railway*,
published in 1900.
Some of my family were deported to the Samara area near the Urals in 1915,
probably on this route. The bonus is that the text is searchable. There
are some photos as well. (hover your cursor over the image of the text to
open the book - and see a photo of a younger Tsar Nicholas)

The map of the railway at the back of the book is in Russian unfortunately.
Another digitized text (from the Library of Congress - LOC) , *Siberia* by
M. P. Philips in 1912 https://www.wdl.org/en/item/2380/
<https://www.wdl.org/en/item/2380/>
is more descriptive of the people, lands, customs. Also searchable and has
some maps and photos.
Third digitised text - * Eastern Siberia* (also from LOC) is actually a
British Foreign Office text part of series about countries in preparation
for the Paris Peace Conference in 1919, and is more technical: history,
economics, geography, etc.
