Many of us have been helped by Jerry, a gentleman who generously shared his
knowledge of all things relating to genealogy, and was especially
interested in old maps and geography. It is with sadness that I pass on
this message from his son:
"Jerry passed this morning [2 October] at ~4:25 local time. He went
peacefully, his battle with cancer is over and he is with his father now in
heaven. We'll be making the arrangements later today."
I shall remember Jerry most fondly; he is another too soon departed from
us.
Bronwyn.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Jerry's passing. I can hardly imagine Volhynian genealogy research without him.
Thank you for sharing.

I am also very sorry to hear of Jerry's death. So many who have been very helpful are leaving us. We must kindle some youth to take on the interest although they will never be as knowledgeable as Jerry's generation. But then we begin to learn in other ways through genealogy also. I feel fortunate to have been a part of both generations, and hope to continue for a while, although we never know how long we have. Carol

May I please add my deepest sympathies and profound loss to Jerry Frank's family, and all of those to whom he was so kind. We seem never to know what we have until we don't have it any more. But people like Jerry - well - he made a difference.
Thank you, Bron, for letting us know.
Sincerely
Maureen Schoenky
