I purchased the book, In Their Words, Volume I: Polish many years ago and I think it is the reference I use the most. It's more than assisting in translation of documents. It's history, maps, sample documents of all kinds that one might find and even assistance in finding documents. It's hard to describe in an email all this book contains. I have 15 sticky notes on the pages I use most. Google translate does not recognize abbreviations. This book addresses various abbreviations found in its 40 some pages of vocabulary. The vocabulary is followed by 20 pages of names, with the origin how that name translates to other languages.
I'm looking forward to the Russian book. I have many Cyrillic documents to translate. It's the perfect companion to Volume I, which is still necessary when working with Cyrillic documents.
I've received more than $35 worth of value from Volume I and I expect to get even more value out of Volume II, as that is where I need the most assistance, starting with just understanding the structure of the language.
