Peter,

One must be careful to determine the correct village location.  There are indeed more than one Pustomyt.  The one south of Lwow near Szczerzec would have been in Galicia.  The one in the Horochow district would have been in Volhynia.  

Since SGGEE does not collect records from Galicia, then the family you found in the database is almost certainly from the Pustomyt in Horochow district.

You also refer to Catholic parishes.  The vast majority of the SGGEE data for Volhynia comes from Lutheran records.

Mr. Scott Peebles, many thanks for your message. This is the first time that I got in touch with somebody who has some
connection to the village of Pustomyt.  I was under the impression that there maybe  two villages with the name of Pustomyt. 
I remember my sister-in-law telling me that her family lived in Pustomyt, district of Horochow  or district of  Szczerzec.  Checking the LDS data base, I see that there is only one Pustomyt listed under two different administrative jurisdiction , one for the Roman catholic parish of Pustomyt / Lwow and one for Greek catholic church Pustomyt / Szczerzec. So, I think that I am on the right track, by assuming that the Pustomyt close to Lviv is the one, that I'm looking for. I do have some pictures from this villages. A lady I know lives in Lviv and she went to Pustomyt and took some pictures for me.  I also checked the data base from the SGGEE and searched  for  my wife's family name. Guess what, I found some of her folks. It pays to check the SGGEE data base more often. Anyway, many thanks for getting in touch with me.
