That's close Al but it needs to be put into context.  

The Nunc Dimittis is sung in a Lutheran Church service after receiving Communion.  The title is the same as the first few words of scripture (King James version) as spoken by Simeon, “Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in 
peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, 
Which thou has prepared before the face of all people; A light to 
lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.”  I think it is also used in Anglican, and possibly even Catholic services.

In that context, it makes a bit more sense when attached to an obituary.
