Thanks for the information on the location. I do not know the context of the
leave, so I have added two documents from the Zhitomir Archives to the
website under the following URL, in case someone could shed further light on
this. It could be as you say, his discharge from the military allowing him
the opportunity to leave and immigrate to Volhynia. Could it also be just
the release from Polish emigration officials?
