[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Catholic baptism noted in Gabin Evangelical Parish Register

According to my maps, Kepa Popielarka was on an 
island in the Wisla River.  We know that a 
variety of conditions caused some of these 
islands to disappear over time or to be joined by 
sand bars to one bank or the other.  I cannot say 
for sure if this was the case in your time frame.

The true reason for the double registration may 
be lost to time.  I have a similar situation with 
an ancestor, once at Augustopol and then again at 
Dabrowice.  In both the case of your baptism and 
the later switch to Plock from Gabin, perhaps 
access to the north side of the river was easier 
or became easier than the south side.  Or maybe 
they didn't like the pastor a Gabin so started 
registering at Plock not all that much further away.
