Hi all,
I thought I was doing a private mailing but since it got on the list. I
am looking for a Julianna Florentine Fenske born most likely before 1815 and
her brother Johann Fenske who died in 1815. Juliana is later found in
Gnadenfeld, South Russia and joined the Mennonite church from the Lutheran
church although one family record says she started out Catholic. Any ideas
on where to look? I thought the Brandenburg emigration records might be a
clue since the Gnadenfeld Mennonite Church was founded around 1835 by
immigrants at that time from Brandenburg area of Prussia. But I don't know
anything about Franzthal/Friedeberg. Kathy
