Wow!  I had no idea that I would receive so many responses to my post.  I
thank you all for clarifying the issue.  As I wrote previously, this has
been my experience based on my own research, and from information from a
distant cousin, who is a member of the church.  I appreciate all of your
help as I continue researching, and look forward to the availability of the
aforementioned records.
