[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Military uniform identification

Could anyone help with Military uniform identification shown in this photo
of my Great Grandfather Heinrich Stange b: 12 Oct 1859. (where unknown)
Lived in Pinino then Krzywa Gora. His Father was Gottfried Stange b: 24 Feb
1838 in Harburg, Hanover d: ABT Nov 1904 Wloclawek, (Poland) Russia.
I first thought the photo was of my Grandfather Gottfried Stange b: 20 May
1885 Pinino d: 23 Nov 1973 Utica, Michigan because of stories my Grandfather
told how he was in the military then left for the US in 1911. The photo,
however, looks like my Great Grandfather not my Grandfather.
