[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Surname Meh

Hello,

I've recently located my 5G grandparents' names off my 4G grandfather's B
Rec "Andreas Ast" from birthplace Wuermberg, Wuerttemberg, Germany, 1761,
and his parents names are mentioned: Andreas Ast (father has same first name
as son), and Solome nee Meh Ast. Andreas Ast was also mayor of Wuermberg.

My question is has anyone ever heard of the surname Meh? Is there anyone who
has ever had any relational link to this name?

Is this a Jewish name? Or is it an oriental name? I cannot locate it
anywhere. Thought I'd throw this out to the ListServList...:)
