[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Powiat maps of Russian Poland

There is one correction for your time line.

1806-1815 Duchy of Warsaw (under Napoleon rule).

You might also want to make note of alternate names for some of these time
periods. Before the partitions, there was the Polish - Lithuanian
Commonwealth. Also, Russian Poland was referred to variously as Congress
Poland, the Kingdom of Poland, and after 1867, the Vistula Territory - and,
in German, Mittelpolen (Middle Poland). It has these other names because,
for the first decades until about 1867, it operated in a somewhat
autonomous fashion under Russian control. As one example, they retained
Polish as the language of official documents until 1867.

Germany did not exist as a country prior to 1871 but the people that lived
in the provinces or kingdoms that eventually comprised Germany were still
ethnic Germans. You cannot refer to all of them as Prussia because some
came from non Prussian places like Wuerttemberg, etc. In 1820s Polish
documents, my Hemminger ancestors are shown as being born in Koenigreich
Wuerttemberg - the Kingdom of Wuerttemberg.

For other readers, please note that this time line is specific to Peter's
area of research. Other parts of what we generally refer to as Russian
Poland would look differently during the period of the partitions through 1815.
