[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] meaning of occupation, "Kirchenjungster"

Could someone tell me what a "Kirchenjungster" is?  A young Church person as
opposed to a Church elder?

This appeared on the Lutheran death record of someone who was 65 years old
when he died.
The record states that he was a "Schneidermeister [Master Taylor] und
Kirchenjungster".
