[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Skaley from Alexandrowo

Further to Jerry Frank's message below, I see that we have two people
with Skalej surnames who marry into the Betcher or Boettcher lines in the
SGGEE database.  This may only be a coincidence, but if there is a
correlation, the area where these people lived is in the Kolo and
Przedecz areas of Poland. 

Doing a search on a new link to a good modern-day map of Poland (our map
link #8 on our web page http://sggee.org/Maps.html) for Aleksandrow shows
a village of that name just east of Kolo and Przedecz about midway
between Kutno and Gostynin.  There is absolutely no guarantee that this
is the correct place, but there may be a connection given that we have
the surnames you seek in the same general area.

  There are 11 Alexandrow / Aleksandrow in Russian Poland with known
  German residents.  However only one each of Aleksandrowka and
  Aleksandrowo.  Best at least to start with the assumption that the
  spelling is accurate which means Aleksandrowo 17 km SSE of Torun.

  The bad news is that, assuming Lutheran origins, the location is in
  Nieszawa parish for which there are no known available records.

  I believe that the parish near Lodz is Alexandrow, not Alexandrowo.

  Now keep in mind that my info comes from the most extensive list of
  Germanic settlements that is currently available.  It is possible
  that they lived in an Aleksandrowo in another parish and that this
  village is not yet on the list.
