Eduardo,

Can you provide the context for the record, perhaps even a copy? 

It seems to me that it should be more something like Alt Verchen or Alt
Werchen or Wierchen or something similar.  

And are you certain it is in Prussia?  I cannot find anything close to that
in Prussia but there is Alt Werschniza and Alt Werzchy in Volhynia.
