Hello Helen,
How did you find out your family was resettled to a polish farm?
I was hoping that Aue was a destination for the family and I could continue looking into that area. I'm trying to pin down an area of Germany to continue my search there are no records of Zellmer or Zelmer in volhynia prior to 1861 so I'm assuming they came into the area just before this.
Ironically my great grandfather was born in Solomka and while looking for the village I was thru Berestovets last fall and took a few pictures of the area. If your interested let me know and I can forward them to you.
If you can help further Please do !
Sincerely ,
Brent Zelmer
