[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Rostock on Ancestry

Hello listers,
I was wondering if someone can help me with some translation. I noticed 
that Ancestry now has many years of records , in German, for Rostock, 
Germany but since I cannot read German, I have no idea just what records 
are available. I am mainly interested in the year 1949 as that is the 
year  and the last known address of my ancestors.
