Hello Eveline,
The village 'Palanka' belongs to Hungarian.
Please look:

In the database on this website you can also find the name TIEFENBACH:

Betreff: [Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Villige Palanka
I am still on the search for the TIEFENBACH that came from the area Rowno
and Marianka.
Today I recieved info from WASt Berlin on my father-in-law Wilhelm brother
Peter TIEFENBACH * 19 Aug. 1922 in Palanka.
Does Palanka belong to the Vohlynia?
WASt did not have very much info on Peter TIEFENBACH, he has been missed
since 1944 in the area from Lysjanka/Schandrowka/Ukraine, I did get info on
the
Unit he was in and his dog tag #.
regards
Eveline
