Sieg and Edelgard,

If you look on the following map, you will see Kol. Istrow between
Dorohusk/Dorogusk and Turka:
http://www.mapywig.org/m/German_maps/series/126K_Russland/Reihe_XX_Blatt_2_Cholm_loc.jpg

This map is German but has some influence of Russian spellings in
western script. In looking at the Lublin births database, I see that
Wystrow is used as a spelling in the late 1860s and 1870s. That means
the records were in Cyrillic. The village names were spelled
phonetically in Russian which does not easily deal with that I/J sound
at the beginning of a word. The larger villages of Dorohusk and Turka
alternated as gmina villages. After more investigation of other maps,
Frank Stewner determined that Istrow/Iskrow/Wystrow were the same small
German colony which disappeared.
