Re John Diefenbaker genealogy
<goog_233715664>
www.biographi.ca <http://www.biographi.ca> has a brief outline indicating
his ancestry was from Baden in Germany. But no specifics.
http://www.biographi.ca/en/bio/diefenbaker_john_george_20E.html
His grandfather did live in the Kitchener-Waterloo area though as did many
other Germans who came in the 1850s.
