Subject: [Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Polish Archives - new scans
I belong to a Polish genealogy group on FB and this was just posted there. Passing along the information to all of you.
Something to be excited about! Polish National Archives Regional Offices in Bydgoszcz and Toruń began the process of digitization of their records, starting with roman-catholic books and civil book. Offices in Bydgoszcz and Toruń have records covering Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (mostly part of Prussian Partition). Some records are already available for viewing on http://genealogiawarchiwach.bosmanager.com:8080/archiwum-fr… Please, keep in mind website is not complete, meaning beta-like version (not sure if they will change the web address or the looks at some point), and for that reason loading of scans takes time, and some scans don't open correctly. But it is a work in progress. Some of you might already find something of interest. Happy searching!
