Hi Paul,

Thank you for this information on your family. It looks like your Gruenkes were only there for 9 years, which is probably about how long my Baums would have been there (if they were there).

I looked at birth records for a few years preceding 1862 and I’ll look at other years as per your encouragement (:)).

Otherwise, if my Baums were in Ciechanowiec, why would Rosalie's birth record not appear in these records?
You mentioned the LDS records and that together with these, they make a fairly complete record, but I am wondering why all the records aren’t in one repository. Do you know?
