I was very saddened to hear about Jerry's passing.  Jerry and I never met personally, but since 1997 I have benefited from his help in genealogical matters and read his postings on the SGGEE mailing list with great interest.  I also enjoyed reading about his trips to Europe and all the photos he shared with us on Facebook.  I respected him deeply for his openness about his battle with cancer, and for his deep trust in God.  I am sure we will all miss him.  May he rest in peace.
