Dear Debbie,
Everybody's case is different but in general this is the typical age for their first marriage. Most marriages occur September-November and January-February since those are the slow months for farming.

 in Russia seemed to marry about age 20+ for the
 grooms, younger for the 
 brides.
 
 Does that seem to be typical
 for those living in Poland also?
