Would anyone be able to tellme about Konstantin Knoll, he died in Alberta
after emigarting from Ukraine. I know he had two children, but I would love
to know what their names are. If anyone would plesae be able to help me, I
would be most grateful.
Bruce Braun.
His father was Edmund Knoll, who was my grandmother, Emma nee Knull's
brother. Her name was different because the Poles forced them to change their
name, but Edmund refused.
Thanks to everyone who can shed some light on this family mystery for me.
Bruce WIlliam Braun

Hi everyone,
I have been researching this area for about 20 years, but only
superficially as I've found it the most difficult of all of the different regions our
families are from.
I am searching for the following surnames (and have checked the SGGEE
database without any luck).
Luk/Luck (Aline was my husband's greatgrandmother), born 1878 Korwin,
Konin; confirmed in Doly
Muench (August was my husband's great grandfather - they supposedly
married in Konin in/around 1900.
Muck/Mykk/Muecke - possibly August's mother, but his parents are not
confirmed
Aline and August's children were all born in Doly or Gostyn.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I would appreciate hearing from
you.
Many thanks and kind regards,
Claudine

Hello Claudine,
I am researching the same area and I have also the names L?ck/M?cke/M?nch
in
my db. The Konin marriage records are online until 1899 at
szukarjwarchiwach.pl. Unfortunally there is no marriage M?nch (Minch in
the
Russian records) / L?ck (Lik) / in the index of this year. I do hope the
years after 1899 will follow soon. I have also been looking for the birth
entry of Aline L?ck in 1878 with no success. Maybe she appears in the
Maslaki records, but these end in 1859. Too bad!
Regards from Germany,
Edelgard

Dear Edelgard,
Thank you - yes, I do hope that more records will be available soon. Thank
you for searching for me. Albert Muth had also helped me in the past. So
frustrating - I've been so fortunate with our other lines - they are all
much more transparent. Aline apparently was orphaned quite young - by the
time she was confirmed it seems and there is no info on her parents -
although I have so many photos and info on her married life, etc. August
Muench, her husband, also seemed to have been orphaned young and the family
members that are distantly related are not certain of the exact lineage -
my
inlaws are not interested, so it makes it all quite difficult!
Many thanks and I will try to be patient :)
Kind regards,
Claudine

Gerald,
Thank you for the information. I am researching in that area and found
some of the Zdunska Wola online at GenBaza also. (Information on how to
get to the records is found at:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact
=8&sqi=2&ved=0CC0QFjAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Ffamilysearch.org%2Flearn%2Fwiki%2Fe

0KJBKmKHYvtI1LinORLJSA&sig2=OGKvdb-jmpMXn5HVQGbhvQ
)
If you do not log in, the only records you will be able to access are
those from the Warsaw region. Once you have logged in, select Lodz and
a list of the villages that have scans will come up.
For Zdunska Wola GenBaza there are:
Scans of the Catholic records run from 1808- 1913
Scans of the Baptist records is just one year, 1913
Scans of the Evangelical run from 1876-1913
I hope this may be of some help and perhaps used as an adjunct to the
metryki indexes.
