Thank you for your response! Nowa Wies is not far from Lanienta
(Łanięta)but I don´t have any Arndt-connection to Nowa Wies (yet).
Elisabeth Arndt
is the first "Arndt" in my family. As you said: "one of many who married
into my family". The Arndts seem to be found in almost every settlement in
the area.
Elisabet Arndt was born in Lanienta (Łanięta) in 1826 to Martin A. and
Marianna Schulz. There was no Arndt family living in Lanienta (Łanięta) during
1939-1945 though. But there was a Arndt family in the neighbour village
Lania owning a "Rittergut". My Arndt-line seems to be related to this Arndt
family, as Elisabeth supposedly has been a cousin of the Lania-Arndts,
which has to be confirmed yet.
