Don,
Chopinow was never a parish so the phrase is incorrect. It would be the village of Chopinow in the parish of Rozyszcze which would hold records for the family.
It is located here 50.976372,25.501814 on Google Maps (spelled Khopniv)and only about 10 miles (18-19 km) ENE of Rozyszcze.

Subject: [Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Meaning of a phrase
I have a tour member who claims her father was "born in rozyszcze, parish of chopinow." how is that to be interpreted? what is the relationship between rozyszcze and chopinow? does this mean that even though he was born in rozyszcz, he was registered in the parish of chopinow? chopinow is about about 50 km to the east of rozyszcze in a fairly remote area. Or is there some other meaning to the phrase?
