It's a very sad news to hear that someone who helped so many people,
left us, but he still lives in our hearts and his legacy will inspire others forever.

Not enough can be said about Al.  Such a depth of knowledge of genealogy and 
sources.  Such a generous willingness--even eagerness--to help others find 
their past.  But for him, I would know nothing of my mother's family's 
migration up the Vistula.  He richly deserves a special place in our 
memories, and in SGGEE's institutional memory, for the rare person that he 
was.

I can only echo Maureen's sentiments.  Al had a huge depth of knowledge,
especially when it came to genealogy of Evangelicals  in Poland.
Al helped so many of us in many different ways, and will certainly be
greatly missed.
