Invites like this are not appropriate for our mailing list.

However, please note two things.  First, I understand that from another distribution list from a University that there is a virus going around spreading these invitations to through the address books of individuals.  This type of thing can spread to ours as well so please be patient with such unintentional postings.  We will try to deal with them as best possible.

Secondly, from time to time someone sends out an invitation to their own address book and forgets to remove certain addresses like ours before doing so.  We all have lapses in attention like that at times so hopefully we can find time to forgive as well.

If this becomes a significant problem, we will attempt to add such titles to our existing spam blocker.

If you have any further comments in this regard, please address them to me rather than to the mailing list.
