Hi Vera,

in Hans Bahlow's "Deutsches Namenslexikon" I could find the following 
explanation:

"Plesch, Plesche, Pleschka, Pleschak belong as a short form to the Slawonic 
given name, as in Breslau in 1350: Pleskusch and Plessel = P l e s k o,
compare place name Pleschowitz (Bohemia, Moravia)..."

The pronunciation of Bleschke is not Blaysh-ke but Blesh-ke
