Regarding the Schiewe Name
I am a Schewe. In my research I have found 13 different spelling of the
name.
Many are errors made by people writing it down as they hear it like in
census etc.. 
I also have documents with different spelling within our family from Poland,
Ukraine & Russia.
These are birth certificates, confirmation, ships manifests naturalization
papers and Russian army papers all before 1913. 
Even my grandfathers brothers spelled there name different. One spelled it
Schiewe and the other two Schewe.
Here are the 13 different spelling and translations. 
Schewe, Schiewe, Webe (Russian), Scheve, Shave, Schawe 
Szewe (Polish), Szyw(Ukraine), Schwieve Shewe, Sheve, Schafe, Shiewe.
The spelling Shave is a intentional spelling change by one branch of the
family in the USA.
