in two German genealogical mailing lists I was repeatedly confronted with Huguenot speculations, most of them without 
any real core.
There are at least two general conditions for a Huguenot descent: urban origin and skilled profession. Some of the 
Huguenots were even of ancient nobility. Generally they kept and treasured their Calvinist confession (no Lutherans!). 
For that purpose they maintained Calvinist communities and founded Calvinist parishes (no isolated individuals).
