Cheryl,
Go to http://genea2011.net/index.php?option=com_grid&Itemid=58
In the List of Tables, select either Geburten (births), Heiraten (marriages), Sterben (deaths) for Kreis Kalisch.
For search criteria, set Search for "Kind N." Type Rau into the box.
Set the number of returns to 100.
Set the Search Option to "Begins With"
Click on "Search"
You will find that your surname there is spelled Rauh. Numerous entries come up for the village of Zamęty Kol. You may of course be related to those listed in other nearby colonies or villages as well.
We also have 5 entries for Rauh from Zamęty Kol. in our SGGEE Master Pedigree available to Members Only.
Also did some digging in other parts of that website and with an obituary search (Todesanzeigen) on the right side, noted that you might be related distantly to a Rau family in the Edmonton, Alberta region.
Hard to say what "Der Ryb" means. You can find Zamęty by copying and pasting that into a GOOGLE maps search. I don't see any river nearby. The German word for "lake" is "See" which could be what you are thinking of as a sea but there are no lakes nearby either. All of this could be part of family lore that has been misunderstood or misinterpreted.
