Beatrix,
If you would like to look at more information re: Lublin records, use
the index for the Lublin Project here:
http://www.sggee.org/research/parishes/lublin_records/LublinBirth.html
This will take you to the birth index search. Put in Rosentreter and
select the Soundex search. You will get the birth records which have
been extracted to the index to date. You will see Rosentreger as well
because we have found that the two names are sometimes interchanged. The
Lublin district births from 1871 and 1872 are shown here with more
details than in the MPD because the digital images used for this project
were much clearer than poor microfilms used for the earlier extraction
of births in those two years. I know because I read both and submitted
the data. Jerry, eventually the MPD will be revised. For now, people
interested in Lublin births for 1871-1872 should use the Trinity Lublin
database. It also has deaths and marriages for those years which the
microfilm did not.

And one additional Drat living at Grady, Kreis Lubartow, Lubelskie, Poland. You should also consider Drath as a variant spelling for this surname of which there a quite a few scattered about in Russian Poland. And then also some Dratt at Grundy / Grondy (same as Grady above where the "a" has a diacritic hook under it).

The Lublin database does show two families with births in the 1870s but only the district is shown, not a specific place name. Two children for Wilhelm Rosentreter and wife Wilhelmine Duesterhoeft. One child for Michael Rosentreter and wife Paulina Hopp (aka Chmielewski). Karl is familiar with this location and may have a reason for no place name.
