However, millions disappeared into the Trudarmee, forced slave laborers held in concentration camps under Lenin, Stalin & later leaders of the USSR, which is how it became an industrialized nation within a couple of generations... EG, nearly 1/4 of the fleeing Eastern Europeans, especially those from Russian lands, were handed over by the Allies to the Reds & shipped directly to Siberian slave camps.

The Memorial Society is trying to use the NKVD & KGB archives themselves to document the missing. But they are hampered by the rising interferences from the depressed economies, the gangsters, the govt, etc, in the former USSR territories.
