Please make a note of it everyone. Kamalouka was not destroyed duiring
WW2. It was Elizabethpol. I;'m sorry if this confused anyone in my last
post. I went there in 2005, and Elizabethpol is now a memorial field to what
happened during the war,
Thanks for understanding,
Sincerely,
Bruce W. Braun

There've been a number of people that have posted their scanned
data there and gotten translations of Polish and Russian records.

My Polish is not so good; I am not sure, if I understand everything
correctly. I would therefore appreciate any assistance - I could send a
scan.

Hello All -
I have a question or two re: Pelczanka. Friends of ours have ancestors who
come from there. I've located it on Shtetl-Seeker (31.6 miles East of
Warsaw) but would like to know where the church records are likely to have
been kept.
The information I was given is as follows:
Edward Kurtz born Jan 1871,not necessarily Pelczanka - birthplace unknown.
married - I need to find out who!
children:
Julius born 07.May.1895
Marianna born 29.Oct.1896
Hulda

Hiccup in the system there, and the email got sent before I intended it to
be.
Here is the rest of the information
children:
Hulda born 13.Mar.1900
Emma born 03.May.1903
Lydia born 06.Dec.1909
Karl born 18.Aug.1911 married Jan 30.1936 in Pelczanka -
again, I don't have the wife's name.
Alex born 25.Mar.1916
Ewald born 12.Jan.1921
Ella born 12.May.1924
Olga no information
Certainly Karl and later siblings were born in Pelczanka, and likely the
earlier siblings as well. Has anyone by chance any more information on
these
people? Particularly Karl and his father Edward. If I get information on
the
wives, I will add it.
Any information gratefully received.
Rose-Marie
