Rita,
Just to clarify for those who do not have access to the Journal:
The Bug Hollender in question went to Siberia voluntarily. They were not "verschlept" as were other Germans.
They were not Hollender in a Dutch sense. They were Hollender because they lived in villages with a Hollendry style of government. It has nothing to do with ethnicity.
The article goes into more detail about all this.

My Selent/Popko/Ryll relatives who originally come from Neubrow/Neudorf were "Hollander" who never were sent to Siberia because they were not percieved as the same threat as other Germans in 1916. My relatives came to Vohlynia to the Luck and Rowne region. Rita Lyster

All the evidence I have seen to date is that the migration to Siberia originated in the Neubrow / Neudorf region, not Rozyszcze. The assumed association of Neubrow / Neudorf to Volhynia is not exclusive to the Siberian migration. It is often mentioned in other sources that deal with that regional history.
Also would like to ensure that everyone knows that I don't want to dissociate myself or SGGEE from supporting the Neubrow / Neudorf region. I just like to ensure that facts be kept straight. I would also point out that the some of the Neubrow / Neudorf folk moved a short distance southward to the Zubozanskie and village of Rivne region which is in Volhynia. This Rivne is not the city of the same name further east.
