[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] My Family (Karen Dorsett)

Hello Karen,

i had one Filwock in my family tree, his name is Gustav Filwock, he was born
on 16. Dez 1922 in Kurgane in Russia and he died on 18, Mar 1994 in
Groß-Gerau in germany.
He married Olga born Bettich. Olga was born on 23 Mar 1922 in Novyi
Berestovets in the Ukraine.

I am trying to find my Grandfather's family links .  I believe from the
Gnadenthal area Volhynia.  The surname is Filwok (other spellings may be
noted Filvok, Fillwack , Fillwok etc even Vielwalk)  My Greandfathers
brother was Frederich and Sister was Eda.  Eda apparently married a Dahlke

Hello Karen,
supposedly FIELWOK, FIELWOCK or VIELWOCK. The Odessa Digital Library has 
some of them in Elisabethine, the IGI the marriage of Johann Gottlob 
VIELWOCK in 1793, Zduny, Krotoschin, Posen province. The origin seems to 
be in late Pomerania.

You might also want to consider the spellings Villwock, Villwok, 
Villwoch, Fielwok, Vielwok, Vuellwock, Voellwock, Fuellwock, Fullwock, etc..

Can you give more information, specifically the names and dates and 
places that you know of people in Volhynia that you seek?
