I cannot find any place similar to Ropel in Volhynia. If you send me a scanned copy of the record, I will see if there is a better interpretation of the handwriting.
As for Kopan, there is only one in Volhynia at this time known to have had German residents. It is located about 32 km due west of Dubno, 40 km due south of Luck. On GOOGLE Maps, search for Kopan, Rivnens'ka, Ukraine and it will take you directly there.
