PolishOrigins has a volunteer that has been translating old Russian
documents to English. See:
_http://forum.polishorigins.com/viewtopic.php?t=335_ (http://forum.polishorigins.com/viewtopic.php?t=335)
and: _http://forum.polishorigins.com/viewtopic.php?t=336_
(http://forum.polishorigins.com/viewtopic.php?t=336)
(though I note there's been no action since January)..
I've also seen some translations on: _http://forgen.pl/forum/_
(http://forgen.pl/forum/) (it's all Polish)
and on _http://www.genealodzy.pl/index.php?&newlang=eng_
(http://www.genealodzy.pl/index.php?&newlang=eng) (Mostly Polish, some English)
In a message dated 08/18/10 11:48:15 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time,

I have a marriage record from 1873 in Russian, that I can partly
understand.
I would need some assistance, though, in finding out if the groom's mother
was still alive at the time.
Could someone please help me? I would send a photo.
Thanks
Michael Stockhausen
