[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Reich family from Blijniye Melnitsy

Has anyone heard of a village with the Russian name Blijniye Melnitsy?
 
I found an interesting article in the Air Moldova magazine about Zinaida
Reich, daughter of August Reich, born in 1894 in the village of Blijniye
Melnitsy  "near Odessa."  Apparently this family went to Bender, and August
converted to Orthodoxy and changed his name to Nicholai. But it clearly says
he was German, even though they periodically use the spelling of Raikh for
the last name.  
 
I haven't found a village with this name in any of the areas closer to
Odessa, but shtetlseeker did turn up:
