[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Nevna, and Volenskigobarna, Russia

I received the e-mail I have copied below.  Can anyone help?


I was told that:
 
Volenskigobarna, Russia is probably Wolhynski Gubernia - Volhynia Province (i.e. Volyn Gubernia),
 
and that 
 
Nevna, Russia was probably Nevir, Niw, or Niwa
 
Do you have any idea on where to find records from these locations?
*The surnames I am looking for are Ott and Beckman.

I don't have any other info as this is for someone I met through a local Germans from Russia group.
