[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Musziks (= Muschiks)

I heard that word when I was growing up.  It was a derogatory term the
Germans gave the Russians or Poles.  One Mujik or plural Mujiken.
The J was pronounced with a soft "g" like Zsa Zsa
